At BIMprovise, our policy is to keep things simple. That means the only data that we collect, use, and store will be that which is necessary to provide our services.
Our current services are:
1. BIMprovise Add-On for Revit
Data Collected
This goes without saying, but your Autodesk account data is subject to Autodesk’s privacy policy.
The application performs a once-per-session check of the user ID to ensure that the Autodesk entitlement is valid. This is not shared with any third party, nor stored by the the BIMprovise Add-On itself. Your entitlement is stored in the Entitlement manager of the Autodesk Store and can be removed at your request.
“Ok, but how are you storing my settings for commands like Sheet Creator?”
As needed, a .XML file will be created to prevent the user from having to input the same data over and over every time they run the tool. This file will be stored in the users AppData directory in the BIMprovise folder and may be deleted at any time.
Excel
Some commands (such as Sync Feeder Log) utilize Microsoft Excel Interoperability. Any data transferred to and from Excel will be subject to Microsoft Excel’s privacy policy. BIMprovise does not retain or share this data.
2. BIMprovise.com (Managed by WordPress & Hosted by GoDaddy)
Users are able to interact with the website by leaving comments on posts and providing input on posted polls and rating widgets. This data is managed by WordPress and is subject to their privacy policy, which you are encouraged to review before interacting with the website.
You are also encouraged to review GoDaddy’s privacy policy, as well.
